Cancer Survivors Unite is committed to providing at least one young adult program a month. As young adults, we know what others are going through. These monthly programs introduce us to other amazing individuals that teach us so much about the human spirit. Each young adult cancer survivor has his or her own story and own personal way of dealing with life's setbacks. Knowing this makes each of us very unique. The programs provided by Cancer Survivors Unite could be in the form of a workshop with a presenter, or an informal get together. Cancer Survivors Unite is going to give every young adult survivor the chance to participate in planning programs.  If you are interested in attending one of the upcoming programs listed below, please RSVP by the date shown.

Upcoming Programs

August 21st 2010, 1-4pm

Nifty Fifty’s Mini Golf Street Rd in Bensalem

Survivors are free of charge, family and friends are asked to donate $11.00 to cover food and golf.  We will meet upstairs in the game room.  RSVP by August 14th 2010.

September 12th 2010, 9:30am-2pm.|

Philadelphia Zoo

Survivors are free of charge, family and friends are asked to donate $25.00 to cover the cost of admission, tour and food.  Parking is $12.00; Survivors who turn in their parking receipt will be reimbursed the cost of parking. Bagged lunch and water will be provided for lunch.  You are also welcome to bring your own lunch or bring money and purchase lunch at the Zoo.  RSVP no later than September 5th 2010.

October 15th 2010 6pm-11pm. 

Comedy Works at Georgine's Restaurant
1320 Newport Rd., Bristol, PA 19007. 

A limited number of seats are available; survivors have preference to attend this event. If you are not a survivor but would like to join us, cost will be $35.00 and includes dinner and comedy show.  Please contact us and we will provide you with more details about this event.  RSVP no later than October 8th 2010, reservations need to be confirmed.   Parking is free and directions are easy from 95 and Pa Turnpike. 

November 13th 2010, 11am-4pm. 

Scavenger Hunt at King of Prussia Mall

We will meet at 11am, inside the mall entrance next to TGI Friday’s.  Family and friends are encouraged to join us. We will be eating lunch as a group, survivors who RSVP by November 6th will be provided free lunch, and all others should bring a few dollars to pay for lunch.  We are unsure where we will be eating lunch.  More details will be provided as the date gets closer. Take the opportunity to join us for this Scavenger Hunt, you can get lots of gift ideas for the holiday season..

Past events consist of ice skating, sporting events, workshops, and even hay rides; just to name a few.  If you would like more information on past programs feel free to contact us.   We support each other and have a great time in the process, as you can see from these pictures.  We would love to see you at an upcoming event.
