	Public Relations Specialist We are in search of a self motivated, energetic individual who can assist us with spreading the word about Cancer Survivors Unite. The volunteer will assist us with compiling and maintaining informational databases for local media, and community days as well as contacts for hospitals, clinics, and other organizations. The volunteer will also be initiating contact with the media, hospitals, and other organizations. Reliable transportation, phone, e-mail and internet access are all required. Microsoft office, specifically Microsoft Access is needed for the databases. Good communication skills, both oral and written. Ability to learn, and work independently. Experience in Public Relations not necessary, will train. Part of this position can be done at home, however meetings are necessary in person. This position will require about 8 hours of volunteering per week. 	Fundraising Assistance Assists with all aspects of fundraising. This includes ideas, planning, promoting and executing the fundraiser. Participate in evaluating past fundraisers as well as possible future fundraisers. These fundraisers may be a local car wash, or a night with the Philadelphia 76ers. We have completed a variety of fundraisers in the past 3 years. Some fundraising experience is required. The volunteer must have reliable transportation. Phone, and e-mail are also a must. The volunteer is needed as little as 2 hours a week or as much as 15 hours a week. This will be discussed between Cancer Survivors Unite and the volunteer.
